Jag bakade cupcakes för några dagar sedan. Den första plåten blev inte jättelyckad, så jag la in den i en påse i kylen. Där fick de ligga. I brist på annat att äta till frukost idag fick det bli dagsgamla muffins som visade sig smaka bättre efter att ha legat i kylen några dagar. Med lite cream cheese samt hallon- och morotsmarmelad blev det ännu bättre. Anteckningsboken kommer härifrån.

I made cupcakes a couple of days ago. The first batch didn't turn out the way I wanted, so I put it in a plastic bag in the fridge. I tend to do that with food. Leftovers? Throw it away? No. I can't do that. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that I will most likely throw it away anyway - just before the food starts to grow legs and crawl out of the fridge by itself - but I just can't help it. You don't throw away food. Wait a couple of days. You know, if famine strikes. Besides, you never know when day-old cupcakes will come in handy.

Turns out that with a little cream cheese and some marmalade, that first batch wasn't so bad after all.
