I thought I'd tell you the story behind my logos. Not because I want you to ooooh and aaaah them (of course you can, if you want to, though), but because I'm so happy that they turned out exactly the way I wanted. Wait, let me rephrase. I knew what I wanted, but I didn't quite know how I would get the message through. I knew I wanted something red, but that was it, and honestly - you need to give the poor graphic designer more info than that. If you please.
My first logo - the one with the hearts that is also my Blogger avatar?
Emelie.
Oh Emelie.
Patient Emelie.
Site. Blog.
I sent her a couple of photos of myself and she came up with this. I was totally blown away. It was so spot on! I just loved it. If you ever need a logo (or a cool wedding invitation) - send her an email. Seriously. Do it. I couldn't be happier with mine. I think a nice logo is important when you have a small business - something that makes potential customers remember you. You may think that it doesn't really matter, but it does. Believe me.
The Red Bunny.
I came up with that name a couple of years ago - don't ask me how. Kind of macabre, I know. But I like it macabre. Ehm... Anyway, when I decided to start an online shop, I didn't think twice. I had a name. Now I just needed a logo. But a bunny - preferably covered in something that looks like blood? How do you explain that to someone without sounding like.. oh, I dunno... a serial killer?
Which brings us to Daniel.
I came across Daniel's work on Etsy (see how great Etsy is!) long before I even needed a second logo. Someone featured his fanzine on the front page and I totally fell in love with his style. I told myself that if I ever needed another logo, I would ask him. And I did. This is what he came up with.
Yes. That may just be the coolest logo ever. Don't be a hater. Just admit it. That is one cool bunny.
So now I have two very different logos. I could never ever ever choose between them. I love them both equally. I am so happy that my vision managed to get through and I'm so grateful that these two very talented artists helped me.
And no. They have no idea that I'm writing this. But they totally deserve all the attention they can get.
